Need latest Qualcomm android BSP zip but can't get onto QDN

Trying to build android from source but registration at QDN is broken so I can’t log in. Are there other ways to obtain the board support proprietary files? Thanks.

I’m not aware of any other place the source can be downloaded from.

What do you mean by a broken registration process?

Well, I basically can’t log in using the email address and password I have created. I also respected the 5 minute delay before logging in they’re asking for after having validated the email address. I tried with different email addresses already.

Downloading the actual source is not a problem as I don’t need an account for that. What really has me stuck now is the binary blobs in the board support package and the build script. I have contacted Qualcomm support but I don 't know how responsive they are.

Would be very grateful if somebody could mirror the contents of said zip file for a short while…

Hi @Genoil

I tried following your link, and I was able to log in, so, I had a quick email chat with the QDN web site manager, when I asked him if QDN was working he said:

It’s working fine for me. And I just logged in with no problem. The user may want to clear their cache and try again.

Can you give that a try please.

Hi @Genoil

New Update:

Following up … just got an email and there IS actually an issue with QDN right now. Several new accounts are not validating – we have a request in to get this fixed with our developers, and hopefully won’t take too long. But for now we’ve turned off new user registration.

Sorry about that. We know about the problem and we are working on it.

Thanks for the update. I hope it will get resolved quickly.

Meanwhile…could anybody with a working account share the archive with me or would that mean a violation of terms? Thanks

the android BSP package was released before QCOM updated the associated LICENSE, so before it allows redistribution… so technically, it would be a violation of the terms…

newer BSP package (such as the one we use on Linux) use an updated LICENSE, which allows redistrbution, which is why we host a copy of them on linaro.org

Ok, can somebody then point me to a recent building Linaro Linux from source guide for DB410c? For now I can use either android Linux or Linaro Linux, as long as I can use a customized kernel image.

– edit –

QDN registration is working again. Downloading source as we speak. @ljking thanks for looking into this.

Hi @Genoil

Yes, the web team just sent me a message:

This has been fixed – took a bit longer than originally anticipated, but should be working now.

But I see you have tried it and figured it out before I was informed. Hopefully the package you have downloaded contains what you need.

Can you upload the latest Q BSP package of sdm660?
