Why is the IP tables kernel module not installed? Is any other type of firewall configured?

our images are not official debian images, but reference images that we produce. so we use our own kernel configuration, and this specific module was not included. if you need something to be added into the build, i would recommend submitting a request on http://bugs.96boards.org/. we can probably add it.
we are looking at making a more generic config based on the debian kernel config, by the way… but this isn’t ready yet.
